Who We Are
At The Beach Bam Club, we believe Mahjong tiles are more than game pieces; they’re conversation starters, community builders, and a spark that brings people together. Since our start in Summer 2025, we’ve been creating a welcoming space in Long Beach where players can connect, unwind, and share the joy of the game.
What began as a small meetup has grown into a lively community full of laughter, shared wins, and “wait, teach me that again” moments. Whether you’ve been playing for years or you’re just getting started, our tables are open for good vibes, strategy, and building community one tile at a time.
What Makes Us Different
When we started learning Mahjong, we realized how challenging it can be. It’s a blend of culture, strategy, luck, and patience, and as Julia Roberts said, “Mahjong is making order out of chaos.” The only way to improve is to play, and since it’s best with four people, finding a group wasn’t always easy.
That’s what inspired us to create a community where people can meet, connect, and play more often.
We host free open play events thanks to generous local venues that open their space to us. We put care into creating a warm, inviting atmosphere, with thoughtful touches like printed name tags, lamps, side tables, welcome gifts, raffle prizes, and of course, the beloved mini animals you get to collect when you Mahjong.
